ANGELES City — Military police arrested recently a helper of a canteen inside the Clark Air Force City for raping a four-year-old girl in front of her drunk father and her mother recently.
Police identified the suspect as Jay Fabriga, 19, native of Abra and currently residing on Sisnes St., Clark Field, Pampanga.
PO3 Marianne Trini-dad of the City Police Women and Children’s Desk said the suspect had a drinking spree with the victim’s father and another man.
The victim’s mother told police that while her husband and his guests were drinking, she was in front of a computer and saw that her daughter was sitting on the lap of Fabriga.
“Nakakanlong ang aking anak kay Jay na hinayaan ko lang at ’di ko pinansin at nagpatuloy ako sa pagko-computer. Makalipas ang ilang minuto narinig kong sumigaw ang aking anak. Tinawag ko siya pero hindi siya lumapit parang takot na takot at umiiyak habang kandong pa ni Jay,” the mother said in her sworn statement.
When she forcibly pulled her daughter from the suspect, she was shocked to see that the zipper of the suspect was open.
“Nakita ko rin na na-kababa na ang shorts at panty ng aking anak na umiiyak at nagsabi na masakit ang kanyang puwet at ari,” she said.
She tried to ask her husband for help but he was already asleep due to drunkenness. The other man, identified only as Tanti, just apologized for what had happened to the girl while Fabriga hurriedly left.
The next day, the girl’s parents went to the Philippine Air Force office in Air Force City, Clark Field and sought help for the arrest of Fabriga.
A military police team went to the canteen where the suspect was working as a dishwasher and arrested him. He was later brought to Police Station 4 here.
Charges of rape in relation to Republic Act 7610 were filed against the suspect who was recommended to be detained by the City Prosecutor’s Office.
A medical examination of the child showed that she had hymenal lacerations and anal bruises and redness.
