CABANATUAN City — Two motorcycle-riding gunmen killed an alleged notorious criminal in front of his house Wednesday afternoon.

City police chief Supt. Pedro D. Soliba identified the fatality as Danilo Afable, 41, married, of Tomacruz St., Bgy. Magsaysay Norte, this city.

The victim was buying something at a local sari-sari store in front of his house when two men aboard a black Suzuki motorcycle shot him in the head several times, causing his instantaneous death.

Police said the victim gained notoriety in the early 90s for his alleged involvement in robbery and theft incidents in the city.

“Notorious daw na magnanakaw ’yan at may kaso ring grave threat at na-involved din sa drugs,” Soliba said of the slain victim.  

Police said they are still conducting follow-up operations to identify and arrest the suspects.
