A Muslim was shot dead by unidentified suspect at a Muslim Compound in Pasig City the other night.

Senior Supt. Mario Rariza, chief of the Pasig City police, identified the victim as Salek Magandia, alias Daddy, 32, of Villa Monique,  Bolante 2, Bgy. Pinagbuhatan.

Magandia, who sustained gun shot wounds in the chest and back, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Pasig City General Hospital.

Senior Insp. Rodrigo de Dios, Station Investigation and Detection Management Branch (SIDMB) chief, said the incident occurred at 7:40 p.m.

Johan Sarosong, a resident in the area, said he was walking when he heard successive shots coming from a dark alley of the compound.

When he checked, he discovered the bloodied body of the victim slumped on the pavement.

Police are hunting the unidentified killer who immediately fled.

De Dios said the victim was on temporary liberty after posting bail for two cases of violation of PD 1866 or illegal possession of firearms before the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office.

Elements of Follow-Up Unit are investigating the motive behind the killing and the possible arrest of the suspect.
