Motorcycle-riding robbers struck again in Metro Manila, this time shooting a man who refused to give them his bag in Caloocan City before dawn Wednesday.
 
The incident occurred at Barangay 82 of Caloocan City, according to a report by radio dzBB’s Rodil Vega.
 
Victim John Paul dela Cruz, 21, was shot in the nape, with the bullet exiting his cheek. He was operated on at the Manila Central University Hospital.
 
Police are now tracking down the two men and trying to identify them via closed-circuit television footage.
 
Initial investigation showed the men appeared to be following dela Cruz, and approached him and asked him to give his bag.
 
When dela Cruz refused, the men shot him then fled, the report said.
 
The shooting came amid a gun ban for the May 13 elections, which started Jan. 13 and will last until June 12.
 
During the gun ban, only law enforcers in uniform and on duty are allowed to carry firearms outside their homes.  — ELR, GMA News
