NOTORIOUS members of “FX Robbery Gang” strike again in Pasig City and held up eight passengers Wednesday night.
The victims lodged their complaint before the Eastern Police District (EPD-Criminal Investigation Unit). They were Gerald Vince Cruz, 30, Charizza Burgos, 28, Jason Berdan, 28, Arvin Bautista, 27, Maria Cristina Dolor Bautista, 29, Judy Mendoza, 31, Rosalita Reyes, 29, and Racel Equipado, 27.
The two unidentified holduppers were said to be responsible for a series of AUV robberies in the area and along C-5 Road in Pasig City.
In a report to Chief Insp. Juvenal Barbosa, chief of EPD-CIU, by SPO4 Geminer Tingne, the incident happened at 7:30 p.m. along IPI flyover in Bgy. Rosario.
Julio Medida, 47, of Antipolo City, driver of the FX taxi (UVU-656), said the two male suspects boarded the vehicle in Bgy. Rosario.
Upon reaching IPI flyover, one of the suspects who was seated at the back, uttered the word “Brenda” three times after which they suspects declared a holdup.
At knifepoint, the suspects divested the passengers of their personal belongings and ordered the driver to proceed to Ortigas Extension.
The robbers got off the vehicle along Meralco Avenue, Ortigas Center.
The eight passengers lost their expensive cellphones, credit cards, ATM cards and undetermined amount of cash.
Police are conducting follow-up operations for the arrest and identities of the suspects who are back in business after stopping their illegal activities for three months.
