A fish dealer was killed while a tricycle driver was wounded in a broad daylight gun attack at Tugbungan and Talon-Talon Loop road yesterday morning.
The fatality was identified as Alberto Tenorio, 30, married. Wounded was Roderick Manuel.
A police report disclosed that Tenorio and his wife Bernadette were riding on a tricycle driven by Manuel on their way to Putik after buying fish in Talon-Talon before 7 p.m. when a motorcycle with two men aboard sidled up and the backrider opened fire on them near the intersection of Tugbungan and Talon-Talon Loop,
Bernadette told the police that the backrider targetted her husband.
The victim sustained two bullet wounds in the head and body while a stray bullet hit Manuel in the right leg.
The gunmen sped away upon seeing Tenorio was dead aboard the tricycle. Manuel was rushed to the Zamboanga City Medical Center.
Bernadette said they were on their way to their fish stall in Putik when the gun attack took place.
