A man reportedly engaged in illegal drug trade was gunned down while a tricycle driver was hit by a stray bullet in Salaan Compound, Bgy. Culiat, Quezon City on Wednesday night.

Killed was Joey Escalante, 29, of Ermin Garcia St., Bgy. E. Rodri-
guez.

Case investigator PO2 Alvin Quisumbing said a sachet of suspected shabu was found from the victim.

Another trike driver Mastora Calibay, who was hit by a stray bullet, said he did not see who shot him and Escalante, who died on the spot.

Found near Escalante’s body was a shotgun, a fired cartridge and three 9mm bullets.  Melnie Ragasa-Jimena
