LAGUNA–A VENDOR was killed after a policeman’s gun went off while he was unloading it in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, police said on Thursday.
Supt. Marvin Saro, Sta. Cruz police chief, said in a text message that PO2 Randy Cosio, assigned to Pakil, Laguna, was unloading bullets from his gun at the computer shop he owned when it accidentally went off, sending a bullet the way of Cristina Verina, 35, in Barangay Santisima on Wednesday.
Verina, who was standing about 150 meters from Cosio, suffered a gunshot wound in the head and died in a hospital about two hours later.
Cosio surrendered and is now under the custody of the Sta. Cruz police. Maricar Cinco, Inquirer Southern Luzon
