MANILA – A member of an all-female singing and dance group “Baywalk Bodies” was found dead along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), police said Saturday.

 

Reports said that Rejoice Rivera, 26, of Malolos City, Bulacan, and a member of the “Baywalk Bodies”, was found dead by an NLEX patrol team on a northbound shoulder near the Tabang toll gate at 5 a.m. on December 29 with two bullet wounds in her head.

 

According to reports, a witness saw the body of Rivera, whose real name is Dianne Marie Santos, dumped along the expressway in Guiguinto town but failed to get the plate number of the suspects’ vehicle.

 

Rivera, who was wearing a gray shirt and denim shorts, was identified by her relatives in a morgue in Malolos.

 

The relatives said that Rivera, the second child, was the family’s breadwinner and had no known enemies.

 

Police said that Rivera had spoken to her mother, Nieves Santos. She told her mom that someone will fetch her from their house before she went missing.

 

Bulacan police director Fernando Villanueva said Guiguinto police investigators are now trying to identify Rivera’s companion on the night she left home.

 

Rivera’s remains now lie at St. Peter Chapel, Blue Cross Memorial Chapel, Blas Ople Road in Malolos. (Sunnex)
