FED up of having been her husband’s reluctant “punching bag” for the last 24 years, a housewife finally put up a fight and stabbed him dead in Roxas, Isabela the other day. 

The victim was identified as Larrybell Canceran, 42, jobless and resident of Bgy. Nuesa, Roxas, Isabela.

Erlinda Canceran, of legal age, voluntarily surrendered to authorities through the intercession of her cousin.

Reports reaching Camp Crame showed the incident occurred inside the couple’s house last Friday.

Erlinda said she decided to end the life of her husband when the latter, who was drunk, tried to beat her again.

She said she has been a battered wife for almost 24 years but she remained silent and passive all these years. 

However, the last attack proved to be the last straw when she decided to end her husband’s cruelty. Armed with a bladed weapon, she said she stabbed her husband several times.

The victim, according to the police, sustained stabbed wounds, particularly in the head and nape that resulted to his death.
