THE charred remains of a man were found in his burned house in barangay Maghaway, Talisay City southern Cebu.

Police identified the victim as Glenn Manhila, 38.

Police said Mahila set the house on fire past 10 a.m. yesterday.

His mother, Nena Manhila, called the police after she saw her son slash his wrist and run to the kitchen where a loud explosion was heard.

Fire then engulfed the house.

Firemen rushed to the area and prevented the fire from spreading to other houses.
