Another resident slain, suspect surrenders

ILIGAN CITY — A day after the slaying of a Provincial Prosecutor of Lanao Norte, another shooting incident was recorded by the police here.

Police Precinct 5, on the afternoon of August 5, received a telephone call informing their office that a shooting incident transpired at Gen. Wood St., Poblacion this city.

The police officers were then dispatched and found out that in deed a shooting incident took place. The victim whom police identified is a certain Usoph T. Badi, a.k.a. Alvin Badi and a resident of Purok Manuang, Tubod, this city.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds at the left thigh and was brought to Dr. Uy Hospital by the responding Rescue 811 and was later pronounced dead upon arrival.

The suspect who was identified as Demar Ampuan and a resident of Barangay Tipanoy voluntarily surendered to the elements of ICPSMG and later turn over to police at station 5.

The suspect is temporarily detained at Ilgan City Police Headquarter base in Tipanoy pending filling of charges in court.
