At least 29 people were arrested while one police officer was injured in a series of police anti-drug raids in San Pablo City in Laguna province early Thursday morning.

Laguna provincial police chief Senior Superintendent Pascual Muñoz Jr. said they were serving search warrants for seven houses, radio dzBB reported.

Muñoz said the houses were believed to contain drugs and firearms.

One of the 29 who were rounded up was a suspect with alleged links to video karera activities.

At least one police officer was hurt while trying to enter one house at Sitio Trianggulo in San.

As of noon, Thursday, the searches yielded an undetermined amount of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) but no firearms.

The raiding teams included 140 members from the provincial police, and the elite Special Weapons and Tactics and Special Action Force units. — DVM, GMA News
