The tightly bound bodies of two victims of suspected summary execution were discovered in Novaliches in Quezon City before dawn Tuesday.
 
Local village officials said the victims did not appear to be from the neighborhood and may have been dumped there, radio dzBB’s Allan Gatus reported.
 
Both bodies bore strangulation marks and did not have any identification on them, an updated report said.
 
“Nakita siya mga 4:30 ng madaling araw. Nakita ng matandang babae, sinabi niya may nakatapon diyan,” Nicasio Agustin, executive officer of Barangay Sauyo in Novaliches, said of the first body.
 
He said the first body was found along Waling-Waling Street in Barangay Sauyo.
 
The victim’s face was wrapped in packaging tape while his hands and feet were similarly bound. The victim was wearing black short pants.
 
When asked if the victim may have been from someone in the neighborhood, Agustin said, “maaring hindi taga-rito yan.”
 
A second victim similarly bound and with strangulation marks was found also in the barangay at 6 a.m., the report said. —KG, GMA News
