Two robbers were killed in an encounter with policemen Friday night in Quezon City.
The still unidentified suspects were tagged as the ones who robbed female guard Mary Joy Calimag, 30, around 7:40 p.m. on Lantawan St., Barangay Doña Imelda.
PO2 Anthony Tejerero described one of the suspects as 5 feet tall, wearing brown short pants with tattoos “Chiboy” and “Magno.”
The other suspect was 5’2” tall, in white T-shirt and checkered short pants with tattoo “Mac Cabugat” on his chest.
Policemen recovered from the suspects Calimag’s orange bag containing P40 and some identification cards.
Also recovered from the suspects, who were between 35 to 40 years old, were two .38 caliber revolvers.
Calimag said she was walking home when she saw the suspects who looked like they were fixing a motorcycle. When she passed by, one of the suspects pulled out a gun, pointed it to her face.
They took her bag then escaped aboard a motorcycle.
A team of cops patrolling the area noticed the commotion and chased the suspects.
When cornered, the suspects were told to surrender but instead fired shots at the cops.
The policemen fired back, killing the suspects.
