A woman was killed while her mother was wounded in a robbery inside their house in Quezon City Wednesday morning.
Police are tracking down at least five men in the robbery at Barangay Salvacion in Quezon City, radio dzBB’s Rowena Salvacion reported.
The fatality was initially identified as Marisa Gatmaitan, whose body was found on the second floor of the house.
Her mother, who was not immediately identified in the report, suffered wounds in the head and was rushed to the Chinese General Hospital.
The Quezon City Police District is verifying information by neighbors that they saw a man enter the victims’ house early Wednesday, then leave “embracing” something.
He then walked to an Asian utility vehicle parked nearby and boarded it.
Police also theorized the suspects were known to at least one member of the household because neighbors heard shouts of “Tama na Jay, tama na Jay (Jay, that’s enough, that’s enough)!”
Investigators theorized there were at least five suspects, two of whom entered the house, two waiting in the AUV, and one acting as lookout. — LBG, GMA News
